Business Leak Billing System: If Commercial Businesses develop water leaks and the sewer billing includes volume from a leak that the Town Staff can confirm did not enter the sewer system, Town Staff may determine an appropriate charge for the monthly billing based upon prior usages..
Reconnect Fee: The fee for turning water off or on, after regular working hours, weekends, or holidays shall be $100.00. If the water is turned off due to non-payment, the amount owed the town plus an additional $50.00 must be paid in full before the water is reconnected.
Late Notice Fee: $15.00 Late Notice Fee if a notice tag is placed before payment.
Returned check fee: $25.00 applied to the account.
Late Fee: Late fee will be set at 10%. Late fees will be applied to the account balance five days after the due date.
Installation Fees: Fees for installation of water taps and meters are :
The fee to install a one-inch (1”) water meter shall be $3,700.00 per tap installed.
The fee to install a one- and one-half inch (1.5”) water meter shall be $5,700.00 per tap installed.
The fee to install a two-inch (2”) water meter shall be $6,500.00 per tap installed.

- Installation fees adopted May 9, 2022 with Resolution R482 are listed below:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF DOLORES that Resolution No. R324 Series 2011 is amended as follows:
- The fee to install a three-quarter inch (3/4”) water meter is increased to and shall be $2,900.00 per tap installed.
- The fee to install a one-inch (1”) water meter is increased to and shall be $3,700.00 per tap installed.
- The fee to install a one- and one-half inch (1.5”) water meter is increased to and shall be $5,700.00 per tap installed.
- The fee to install a two-inch (2”) water meter is increased to and shall be $6,500.00 per tap installed.
- Any prior resolution in conflict herewith is amended accordingly.
- The increase in water meter installation fees set forth in this resolution shall be effective immediately.
Introduced, read and passed as a resolution at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Dolores held on May 9, 2022 at which a quorum was present.
