Montezuma County Resource Guide for Renters

Montezuma County, CO – The Town of Mancos, Town of Dolores, City of Cortez and Montezuma County have put together resources for citizens who have utilized the eviction moratorium during the COVID-19 pandemic. The CDC issued a temporary 60-day extension when the federal eviction moratorium ended on July 31. The temporary extension is set to expire on October 3, 2021 and only covers counties with rapid increases in infection that would get worse with mass evictions.

The Town of Dolores developed Ordinance 552-2021 that allows and regulates Short-Term Rentals in Dolores.

The town has developed the permitting procedures for those seeking to operate an STR or Vacation Rental in Dolores. Those are included in the mailing in addition to here on the town's home page.
