Montezuma County, CO – The Town of Mancos, Town of Dolores, City of Cortez and Montezuma County have put together resources for citizens who have utilized the eviction moratorium during the COVID-19 pandemic. The CDC issued a temporary 60-day extension when the federal eviction moratorium ended on July 31. The temporary extension is set to expire on October 3, 2021 and only covers counties with rapid increases in infection that would get worse with mass evictions.

In a proactive measure, the four governmental entities of Montezuma County have created a list of state and federal resources for residents to access help.

The document is available to Montezuma County residents who may be struggling to pay rent or mortgage payments amid Coronavirus. The organizations on the document are not affiliated with Montezuma County, Town of Mancos, City of Cortez, or Town of Dolores. The resource page can be accessed at each entity’s website at https://montezumacounty.org, https://www.mancoscolorado.com, https://townofdolores.colorado.gov, www.cityofcortez.com.
